Returns

If you purchased an item online and would like to make an exchange, please email us at support@libbystory.com before you place the item to be returned in the mail.

Due to the fast turnover of our items, exchanges can not be held for our online customers. We will, however, make every effort within reason to make sure you are happy.


Libby Story works hard to provide quality, unique apparel at affordable prices. Please follow care instructions. Many of our garments are light weaves and knits and are labeled "hand wash."

In-store Purchases: Items purchased in-store may be returned for a refund within 7 days of purchase or Store Credit within 30 days given the item has not been worn, original tags are attached, and original receipt is present.

Web Purchases: We are certain that you will love your purchase(s), but in the event an item doesn’t work out, Libby Story will be glad to accept your unworn and unwashed or defective merchandise for a full refund or exchange within 15 days of the shipping date. From 16 to 30 days after the shipping date, customers will be granted an exchange or store credit. Shoes must be returned in their box, tape free, in exact condition as received.

Returns are generally processed within ten (10) days of receipt, and a confirmation e-mail will be sent to notify you that your return/exchange is in process. If you choose to be refunded, your original method of payment will be credited. Therefore if you pay with a gift card, a new gift card will be issued and sent to you.

RETURNING MERCHANDISE

Returning web orders to a Libby Story location: Website merchandise can be returned or exchanged at any Libby Story location within 15 days from the shipment date. Returned merchandise must be unworn, unwashed with tags attached. All returns must be accompanied by the original packing slip.

Returning in-store purchases to web: Exchange or Store Credit only on in-store purchases. In-store purchases can be returned or exchanged to any Libby Story location or to our distribution center. Returned merchandise must be unworn, unwashed with tags attached. All returns must be accompanied by the original receipt.


RETURNING A GIFT

Exchange or Store Credit only on gifts. If you receive a gift from a Libby Story store or website, you may return it to any Libby Story location or to our distribution center. A gift card will be issued for the amount of purchase and mailed to you (or given to you if you come to a store location). However, the original receipt or original gift receipt must be included in order to receive credit, as this is the only way to verify the purchase. Additionally, as stated above, the merchandise must be returned or shipped within 15 days of purchase or 30 days of shipment (if purchased online), depending on the method used originally.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate (ex: underwear & swim) or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
Book with obvious signs of use
CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at support@libbystory.com.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at support@libbystory.com and send your item to: 1000 Highland Colony Parkway, Suite 5003 Ridgeland MS US 39157.

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and she will find out about your return.

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.


If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a track-able shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
